It is a home away from home where old people can spend their twilight years in peace and tranquility. It is a home for old people, who though affluent, are condemned to lead lonely miserable lives because their children or near relatives are employed abroad or in far away places. Santhi Nikethanam is an old age home with a difference because it serves the aged as well as their children. By providing a happy and secure home to the aged, the institution alleviates the stress and starin felt by caring children who are forced to live away from their loved ones. The mental and physical well-being of the inmates is efficiently supervised by a team of doctors who are experts in geriatric care.

Santhi Nikethanam Community Home is on Samajam Road, Vaduthala about 250 metres north of Lourdes Hospital, Ernakulam. The land was donated by Dr. O.K. Madhaviamma Vice President of the Trust. Its idyllic setting away from the bustling metropolis is its chief attraction. What makes it more attractive is the fact that it enjoys all urban facilities like hospitals, parks, shopping centres, places of worship etc in a radius of 2 kilometres.
