Ablasharanam Industrial School Sister Tapaswini Amma, started this institution at the time when Cochin was a princely state. The inmates were destitute women and orphaned children. She used to receive abandoned babies even at this time. The Trust took over the management of the Abalasaranam Industrial School on 4th July 1969. This has now developed into a major job oriented educational institution.
